We are recruiting a Steel Erector to join a Northampton-based manufacturer of industrial capital equipment. The role involves the on-site assembly and installation of large steel structures and machinery frames produced in-house. This position would suit someone with a strong background in structural steel erection or heavy mechanical installation.
The Role
- Erecting and assembling steel structures and equipment frames
- Working from engineering drawings and method statements
- Using MEWPs, cranes, and lifting equipment to position components
- Bolting, aligning, and securing structural assemblies
- Working both in the workshop and on customer sites as required
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Steel Erector or in a similar structural role
- Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Comfortable working at height and in industrial environments
- Valid CSCS card preferred
- Experience using lifting equipment and working alongside crane operations
- Strong safety awareness and team-focused attitude
