We are seeking a talented and experienced Field Service Engineer to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, dumpers, or piling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in various construction and industrial settings.
Responsibilities:
- Routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Conduct thorough examinations of components to identify potential defects or deficiencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to schedule and execute service activities, minimizing downtime and maximizing crane uptime.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers and onsite personnel, ensuring proper operation and maintenance practices.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering discipline.
- Experience working with heavy equipment in a field service capacity.
- Knowledge of crawler crane systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- Certifications or tickets related to crane maintenance and operation (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, IPAF).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
- Driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
