We are seeking a talented and experienced Field Service Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment such as piling equipment, excavators, crawler cranes, or mining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in various construction, mining, and industrial settings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Conduct thorough examinations of components to identify potential defects or deficiencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to schedule and execute service activities, minimising downtime and maximising uptime.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers and onsite personnel, ensuring proper operation and maintenance practices.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering discipline.
- Experience working with heavy equipment in a field service capacity.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
- Certifications or tickets related to site machinery maintenance (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, IPAF).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
- Driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
