Due to growth, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer to lead projects from RIBA stages 2 - 4 and take some of the pressure off the Associates and Director.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll have full autonomy over your projects and enjoy a hybrid working pattern of 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home.
You'll work in a stylish, top-floor office with views across London with modern breakout areas, lightning-fast internet, secure bike storage, showers, and a proper kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Attend client and site meetings.
- Design innovative mechanical building services, including HVAC and above-ground water services.
- Coordinate MEP services across design teams and disciplines.
- Integrate renewable and low-carbon energy systems into building designs.
- Prepare specifications, drawings, and equipment schedules for HVAC systems.
- Review RFIs, technical submittals, and contractor design information.
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate mechanical engineers.
- Manage project profitability, ensuring designs meet programme and budget targets.
- Ensure your designs comply with CIBSE guidelines, British Standards, and client-specific requirements such as CP1.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in building services design, i.e., HVAC.
- Currently working for a consultancy, designing residential, hotel, or mixed-use projects.
- Proven ability in leading projects and managing a few Intermediate Engineers.
- Able to work in the UK, without the need to be sponsored.
