Principal Building Physics Engineer – Oxford – To 70K + Package + Profit Share This Sustainability and MEP consultancy are leaders in Passivhaus and NZC projects and have a secured pipeline of projects for the next 6 months. Due to continued demand for their expertise in Low and Net Zero Carbon Design, they are looking for a Principal Building Physics Engineer to lead their Building Performance Engineering team. Working alongside the Director of Sustainability, you’ll be responsible for liaising with clients, architects and developers and essentially help bridge the gap between architecture, MEP services and sustainability. This role will more than likely appeal to someone who is currently at a Senior Level, who is looking to essentially step up into a Principal role and lead the Building Physics team. This is a unique opportunity for a Building Physics expert to grow a team, help grow the business and have a clear path to equity within the next 12 months. Essential Requirements: Passionate believer in Passivhaus and able to use PHPP & Sketchup. Good understanding of IESVe and ideally an understanding of IES Apache HVAC. Degree qualified, with at least six years’ experience in the built environment. Able to communicate effectively with Architects and help them bring their ideas to life using hand sketches and complex building models. Able to communicate complex topics in simple terms to a non-technical audience. Good awareness of Embodied Carbon and Operational Energy.
