To £40K + Progression, support, interesting projects and a 35-hour week. Established in Scotland, this medium-sized multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy offers support, diverse projects, clear progression and a very enjoyable working environment. Based in the heart of Edinburgh, just a short walk from either Edinburgh Haymarket or Waverley stations; their office environment is unique. Partners and Directors share the same space as the engineers; and it really is a one team mentality.
Their Electrical Building Services team is led by a supportive, friendly, and hands-on Director with over 10 years at the practice. Always approachable and ready to help, they also empower you with the freedom to use your own initiative and drive projects forward. With around 30 MEP Design Engineers in their Edinburgh office, you'll also have easy access to Principals, Seniors and Engineers. Plus, you'll also have a Graduate or a Junior to assist you with calculations and drawings.
You’ll be involved in a diverse range of projects such as distilleries, castles, universities and schools, industrial and cultural buildings. Complex and interesting projects that will challenge you. Not the boring copy and paste type projects but rather projects that require precision engineering, out of the box thinking and good coordination skills.
You’ll also be encouraged to develop your knowledge of HVAC, PH and Building Physics. Their policy has always been to train their M&E Engineers to be proper 'Building Services Engineers' rather than just specialists in a single M or E discipline.
As a business they remain focused on innovation and precision engineering; and their projects usually set new standards in terms of quality, innovation or energy efficiency. They never take on more projects than they can design and deliver well, and pride themselves in always going the extra mile on behalf of their clients; and never rush projects out the door without a strict QA process.
You’ll enjoy a reduced working week of 35 hours, regular CPD, 26 days leave, a flexible hybrid working policy and as much autonomy as you desire.
