Mechanical (HVAC) Associate – To £85K + Package + Up to 15% Bonus

Based in Farringdon, this MEP & Sustainability Consultancy has built a reputation for creating buildings that are both functional and comfortable, while minimising their impact on the planet.
They take a holistic and integrated approach to Building Services, creating genuine synergy between Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health disciplines.
From concept and feasibility through to handover and post-occupancy, they guide clients every step of the way to deliver spaces that perform, endure, and inspire.
Due to growth, they’re now looking for a commercially aware Mechanical Associate (or strong Principal Engineer).
A Mechanical Associate who still enjoys being hands‑on but also knows how and when to delegate.
From Grade II listed refurbishments to 5-star hotels, commercial offices, museums, data centres, and major regeneration projects, every project is defined by quality and collaboration.
Working alongside the Founding Partner, you’ll lead projects from concept through construction — setting client briefs, producing designs, managing technical delivery, and ensuring smooth coordination across all disciplines.
You’ll manage the mechanical team, review their IESVE and Revit models, and act as the single point of contact for clients on all projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading Mechanical (HVAC) design from RIBA Stages 1–6
- Collaborating with Electrical, PH, Energy & Sustainability team
- Managing project delivery, client communication, and technical standards
- Mentoring and supporting a mechanical engineer
- Bringing innovative, sustainable design solutions to every project
Ideal Background
- Degree qualified with 8+ years’ experience in Building Services (Mechanical bias)
- Proven experience leading projects from concept to completion
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and sustainable design principles
- Able to open and review models in Revit and IESVE
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to liaise with architects, developers, and clients
- Full UK working rights (no sponsorship available)
