What you’ll do
Reporting to the Head of Underwriting, you’ll
- Approve or decline referred applications for unsecured personal loans.
- Assess affordability and creditworthiness using bureau data, Open Banking data and customer documentation.
- Identify and investigate fraud risk and data anomalies.
- Apply FCA rules and lending policy consistently.
- Document clear, well-evidenced rationale that supports the audit trail and stands up to QA.
- Work at pace while maintaining quality and help shape how underwriting develops in a technology-led environment.
- Share insights with Credit Risk to help refine policy and improve automation.
