We are seeking an experienced and strategic senior tax professional to join our global, purpose-driven organisation on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week). This is a high-impact role acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring that business decisions align with the organisation’s global tax strategy while maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will play a critical role in shaping and overseeing tax governance, strategy, and compliance in a complex international environment. The organisation operates with a non-profit ethos, making tax efficiency and responsible structuring central to maximising its global impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Strategy
- Develop, refine, and maintain the organisation’s global tax strategy in line with growth ambitions.
- Advise senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure decisions align with tax strategy and minimise risk.
- Monitor developments in the global tax landscape and assess implications for the organisation.
- Provide strategic input on acquisitions, including structuring and integration to ensure tax efficiency and compliance.
- Tax Governance
- Ensure governance frameworks reflect and support the tax strategy.
- Contribute to subsidiary board processes, including oversight of documentation and delegated authorities.
- Design and implement frameworks for identifying, reporting, and escalating tax risks.
- Advise on organisational design from a tax perspective.
- Tax Compliance
- Oversee multinational tax compliance, including cross-border considerations and transfer pricing.
- Manage the global tax compliance calendar to ensure timely filings and payments.
- Review international tax returns and ensure accuracy across all entities.
- Maintain oversight of tax balance sheet reconciliations and alignment with local accounting.
- Provide guidance and training to finance teams on local tax requirements.
- Manage relationships with external advisors across jurisdictions.
- Lead responses to tax authority enquiries and audits, mitigating associated risks.
