Group Technical Reporting Accountant

Shape how a global consumer brand reports to the world

A instantly recognised UK fashion brand seek a Group Technical Reporting Accountant to sit at the heart of its Group Finance team. This is a high-profile, high-impact role for an ACA or ACCA audit trained, qualified technical specialist who wants ownership, visibility with senior stakeholders, and the chance to raise the bar on how a listed group tells its financial story.

You'll report to the Head of Group Reporting and work closely with talented people across the business β€” from Regional Finance teams to Investor Relations and the Audit Committee.

What you'll do

Reporting into the Head of Group Reporting, you will:

  • Own the Group's external reporting process β€” delivering half-year and full-year consolidated financial statements and the Annual Report & Accounts, fully in line with IFRS.
  • Lead technical accounting across complex areas including impairments, IFRS 16, IFRS 2, foreign currency and segmental reporting β€” preparing clear, credible papers for senior stakeholders, the Audit Committee and auditors.
  • Manage the audit end-to-end β€” coordinating deliverables, resolving technical queries and ensuring timely statutory reporting.
  • Drive reporting excellence β€” enhancing controls, automation and efficiency, and partnering with Regional Finance teams to secure high-quality, IFRS-compliant submissions.
  • Support Investor Relations and strategic finance initiatives, while coaching and developing colleagues to strengthen capability across Group Reporting.

What we're looking for

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with 1-2 years post-qualified experience gained in a large organisation β€” ideally listed group reporting and/or a Big 4 audit background.
  • Deep IFRS expertise, including strong consolidation and disclosure knowledge and the ability to interpret and apply new standards.
  • Strong audit and governance experience, including managing external audits and preparing technical papers for senior stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and influencing skills β€” able to coach others and partner effectively across global finance and non-finance teams.
  • Highly analytical, with strong systems and data capability and a genuine continuous-improvement mindset.

What's in it for you

  • Hybrid working
  • Generous staff discount on products and accessories
  • Share scheme
  • Pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Private healthcare
  • 2 paid volunteer days per year
