Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Programmes Coordinator to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed-term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,550 – £43,000 per annum depending on experience.
Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs, and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
As Senior Programmes Coordinator, the successful candidate will oversee and support allocated country offices in operational and financial matters, lead on portfolio management of Human Appeal\’s programs with field offices and local partners, and contribute to strategy development to align organizational goals.

Key duties and responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and support to Field Offices
- Align work with Human Appeal\’s Programmes Strategies to achieve key priorities
- Ensure quality assurance in the field and HQ in coordination with QA unit
- Review and develop high-quality proposals for allocated countries
- Oversee project implementation, delivery, and learning
- Manage country and regional portfolios
What we\’re looking for:
- A Bachelor’s degree in social science/international development or related field; a relevant Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Programme Coordination at an INGO, with at least 1 year at a Global Coordinator or Manager level
- Experience working with high-profile institutional funders like UN, DfID, GIZ, USAID
- Experience delivering long-term projects and managing responses during disasters
- Managing at least 5 large-scale projects simultaneously
- Fluent in English and at least one additional language relevant to HA Field Offices (e.g., Arabic, Bengali, French, Pashto, Urdu, Swahili)
- Passionate about international development
