Here at Human Appeal, we have an exciting opportunity for a Scotland Volunteer Officer to join our team in Scotland. You will join us on a part-time basis (19 hours per week) as part of an initial 1-year fixed-term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary.
Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs, and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
As Scotland Volunteer Officer, the successful candidate will contribute to the development, planning, and delivery of volunteer projects, as well as recruit volunteers, provide administrative support, oversee volunteer teams, and act as a central contact point for volunteer needs. Responsibilities include exploring new volunteer opportunities, preparing resources, procurement, handling queries and complaints, outreach, and regional development to ensure smooth operations and promote a positive environment.
We are ideally looking to appoint someone immediately to this role.

- Provide administrative support and oversight promptly

- Provide manpower through internships
What we’re looking for:
- Education: Degree in a related field preferred; minimum GCSE English and Maths
- Experience: At least 1 year in charity, office administration, events, or volunteer management
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Salesforce desirable
- Languages: Fluent English required; additional languages such as Arabic or Urdu are a plus
