Position Overview

This exciting role is responsible for identifying, testing and growing new social media income streams and supporter acquisition opportunities for Human Appeal beyond established organic channels. Working across influencer and creator marketing, partnerships, gaming and youth culture, social commerce and platform monetisation, the post-holder will engage new audiences, generate trackable fundraising income, and grow supporter data. Working closely with internal stakeholders and digital partners, they will use data, insights and AI-powered tools to develop innovative campaigns, maximise reach and engagement, and support Human Appeal's ongoing growth in digital fundraising while ensuring compliance with organisational social media and AI policies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identifying, testing and growing new social media income streams and supporter acquisition opportunities.
  • Engaging new audiences and generating trackable fundraising income.
  • Using data, insights and AI-powered tools to develop innovative campaigns.
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational social media and AI policies.

Candidate essential criteria

  • Degree-educated in a relevant field, e.g. Marketing, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Business or Communications, or qualified by experience.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in social media, influencer/affiliate marketing, partnerships or digital fundraising.
  • Proven experience managing influencer, affiliate, creator or brand partnerships.
  • Experience planning and delivering social media events, challenges and competitions.
  • Experience testing new or emerging social platforms and formats.
  • Experience of, or strong interest in, gaming and youth-culture platforms.
  • Practical experience using generative AI tools and AI-enabled influencer/affiliate and social listening platforms.
  • Experience of proactive online outreach to secure new business/brand partnerships.
  • Experience growing supporter/donor data through social-led sign-ups, competitions or partnership activity.
  • Understanding of affiliate marketing structures, UTM tracking and attribution for social-driven income.
  • Awareness of relevant regulation and best practice.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and dignity-in-imagery/do-no-harm content practices.
  • Previous charity, NGO or faith-sector experience is desirable.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation and project management skills.
