Here at Human Appeal UK, we have an exciting opportunity for a HR Officer to join our team based in Cheadle. The role requires full-time presence in the office from Monday to Friday. This is a full-time position initially offered for a 1-year contract. The salary range is £24,225 to £32,775 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support effective frontline service delivery within UK People Services and assist global and country offices as requested by the People and Culture Manager and/or Director.
- Monitor adherence to organisational policies, such as timekeeping, using the People CRM system to generate lateness reports and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date records, including pre-employment screening, references, and employment contracts, on the in-house People system and personnel files to meet audit standards.
- Oversee the administration of monthly payroll and pension contributions, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Assist the P&C team with administrative tasks and support the development and implementation of projects aligned with the P&C strategy and global growth.

Key Duties:
- Complete projects timely, adhering to best practices, health and safety, legislation, and compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate records on the People system and personnel files for audit purposes.
- Administer payroll and pension contributions accurately and on schedule.

- Conduct pre-employment screening and reference checks for new hires.
- Ensure employment contracts are current and compliant with legislation.

Candidate Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (essential).
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficiency in Office software, especially Excel.
- HR degree and CIPD qualification or working towards it (desirable).
- Experience with Project Management tools (desirable).
