Head of Finance & Operations – Humaans

Humaans is a next‑generation HRIS for globally distributed organisations. We’re seeking an execution‑driven Head of Finance & Operations to partner with the CEO and lead our financial and operational strategy across the UK, Europe and the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations: accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, payroll, benefits and reporting.
• Build and iterate our financial model, track key metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, payback, burn) and create actionable insights.
• Oversee invoicing, revenue recognition and investor reporting; support future fundraising with materials and storytelling.
• Drive pricing strategy in partnership with Sales and Marketing.
• Own legal infrastructure: contracts, compliance, risk management and external counsel liaison.
• Support customer contracts, commercial compliance and audit processes (GDPR, ISO, SOC2, etc.).
• Build and grow a small Finance & Ops team, defining processes, KPIs, hiring plans and resource allocation.
• Improve vendor management, tools and systems across the business.
• Champion operational excellence and organizational design in collaboration with the CEO and functional leaders.

Qualifications

• Proven finance leadership in fast‑paced, high‑growth tech companies (Series A‑D) or top‑tier professional services (e.g., Big 4).
• Experience with international, multi‑entity organisations across the US, UK and Europe.
• Deep analytical skills with a track record of building robust financial models and reporting frameworks.
• Hands‑on operator mindset: adept at owning and delivering complex cross‑functional projects.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity, employing first‑principles thinking and a bias for action.
• Financial fluency combined with commercial insight to align unit economics with go‑to‑market strategy.
• Excellent communicator who brings clarity to stakeholders.
• Hungry, humble, thoughtful – driven to build something lasting and great.
