What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced administrator to join the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Research (CAMHR) at the University of Hull.
Under the leadership of Professor Thomas Phillips, Professor of Nursing in Addiction and Professor Judith Cohen, Director of the Hull Health Trials Unit (HHTU) we have secured a five-year programme of research into addiction and mental health funded by the National Institute for Health Research and supported by our partners at the University of York and King’s College London.
The successful candidate will provide administrative assistance to the CAMHR team across a varied portfolio of applied health studies being delivered by CAMHR, as well as provide co‑ordination of Professor Phillips’ diary and support with associated tasks.
The role is 21.9 hours per week (0.6 FTE) with the working pattern for this role negotiable.
The post holder will have previous experience of working in a busy office environment, ideally in a higher education or research setting.
Good organisational skills, strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Co-ordinating Professor Phillips’ diary.
- Delivering administrative support to CAMHR including management of administrative aspects of the procurement processes and maintaining project administrative and financial records.
- Supporting the administrative aspects of the HR recruitment process.
- Creating and maintaining tracking tools e. g. asset logs and training trackers.
- Providing support to the CAMHR team with access requests, travel bookings and expense reporting and maintaining meeting invites and mailing lists.
- Support the CAMHR team in the organisation and delivery of events.
- Monitoring associated CAMHR mailboxes and supporting with updates for the CAMHR web pages.
This role is based at the University of Hull.
The University of Hull has an agile working policy which permits some home working, however the expectation is that the candidate will spend a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
