An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Worker to join the Queen Centre ward 33 Haematology and teenage cancer ward. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of Clinicians delivering high standards of compassionate patient care on a busy 28 bedded acute ward.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder is responsible for supporting the registered nurse or other professional in the delivery of direct patient care procedures. They will work within defined parameters to undertake clinical care, technical and clerical duties, informing their supervisor of duties undertaken, and the outcome of these. The post holder is required to continue to demonstrate proficiency whilst in post.
Duties will include:
- Cannulation
- Taking blood
- Urinalysis
- Obtaining blood cultures
The candidate needs to understand and work accordingly within the trust's vision and values.

Experience
2 years recent experience of working in a hospital environment in a patient-facing caring role.
