Support the design, delivery, and review of performance programmes for teams and individual athletes under the strategic direction of the Performance Manager.
- Act as primary contact for weekly sessions, client support, team and external networks within the performance sport department.
- Deliver strength and conditioning, physical preparation and performance support services with contribution to monitoring and evaluation of athlete development and programme effectiveness.
- Support the daily management of the Performance Zone, ensuring all activities operate in line with health and safety, safeguarding, and operational best practice.
- Act as a positive and proactive member of the Hull Sport team upholding University values, behaviours and brand standards visible across campus, Performance Zone, supporting S&C staff, athletes, interns, and visiting partners.
- Support the delivery and administration of the Talented Athlete Programme and Sport Excellence Programme, including athlete monitoring and compliance with programme expectations.
- Assist with facility session scheduling, facility usage, and equipment management, recruitment activity, trial delivery, athlete onboarding, and performance screening processes.
- Support scholarship athletes to engage fully with both academic and performance commitments with wellbeing support through bi-weekly 1:1 check ins and monthly performance reviews in line with individual performance plans.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of the Performance Internship Programme in collaboration with the Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Science (SERS) department.
- Undertake Duty Manager responsibilities as part of the Hull Sport management rota, including evenings and weekends where required.
- Under the guidance of the performance manager assist and undertake monitoring and evaluation of athlete development, programme delivery, and service effectiveness, using insights to inform decision‐making and drive continuous improvement across the University's sport performance offer.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the performance sport provision and athlete experience, independently developing and implementing programmes, partnerships such as NGBs, partners and sponsors aligned with institutional strategy.
- Independently resolve operational, performance, and welfare-related challenges (e.g. facilities, fixtures, staffing, athlete availability) using professional judgement, adapting delivery methods and use of professional knowledge.
