This exciting new role will support the smooth day-to-day running of the Institute and provide administrative support to senior Professional Services Staff and academics working within the team. The Institute currently operates across two sites: the Daisy Building, Castle Hill hospital and the University campus and therefore travel between the two may be required.

Reporting into the Finance and operations officer, the post holder will undertake a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to support the effective running of the Institute across both sites. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the Institute mailbox
  • Welcoming visitors
  • Managing office supplies
  • Handling incoming mail and deliveries
  • Placing orders for goods and services
  • Diary management
  • Arranging meetings and travel
  • Providing minute-taking support where required

The post holder will work closely with senior Professional Services staff and academics, providing high-quality administrative support and ensuring smooth coordination of day-to-day activities across the Institute.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Jayne Hurd, E: J.Hurd@hull.ac.uk.

We are committed to building a community where everyone feels respected, valued and able to succeed. We particularly welcome applications from people who are underrepresented within our workforce, including people from global majority backgrounds, disabled people, LGBTQI+ people, and women, particularly in senior roles.
