Salary: £26,772 to £40,052 FTE per annum. Actual Salary £15,298.29 to £22,886.89 per annum.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging and challenging teaching and learning, employing innovative and interactive teaching methods to ensure stretch, challenge, and engagement of students of all ages and abilities.
- Lead, coordinate, and support course activities to achieve curriculum area targets, including collation and submission of financial claims to appropriate funding bodies and partners as required.
- Plan, prepare and update all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans and online learning materials using Canvas.
- Facilitate academic tutorials, contribute to marketing, promotion, recruitment and interviewing of students, and participate in open events, schools tasters and enrolment events.
- Assess, monitor and record timely feedback to students, lead IV/IQA processes, and contribute to quality assurance processes and curriculum design within the area.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject specialism by attending appropriate professional/vocational updating.
- Attend meetings and communicate with colleagues within the curriculum area as and when required.
- Carry out the qualification completion process within the departmental systems in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 2 Maths & English.
- Subject specialism in Performing Arts.
- Cert. Ed/PGCE or willingness to work towards.
- Previous teaching experience in and preferably UAL, BTEC or Degree Qualifications.
- Previous experience of working in Further Education and/or Higher Education.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work with students of all ages in classroom, workshop and one‑to‑one situations.
