Overview
The Domestic Abuse Partnership (DAP) is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join the Dap team. The aim of the partnership is to reduce repeat victimisation through enhancing the safety of victims and children by providing a co‑ordinated and effective inter‑agency response to addressing domestic violence and abuse.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary role will be to provide an effective trauma‑informed, victim‑led support and advice service to victims referred to the DAP Team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience of direct work with victims affected by domestic violence and abuse or safeguarding adults or children.
- Demonstrated ability to work with victims in an empowering and supportive way.
- Awareness and understanding of the Duluth power and control methodologies, power differentials and inequalities between men and women and the effects that domestic violence and abuse has on victims and their children.
- Effective communication, organisational skills and the ability to work using your own initiative.
- Informed understanding of safeguarding children and adults.
Training and Development
This post offers an exciting opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in this complex and challenging area of work. Training and development is actively promoted and supported within the team.

Working hours cover Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 5.00pm.
