Are you passionate about making a positive and lasting difference for some of our most vulnerable children, young people and families? Are you looking for a new challenge as a Team Manager? Join our new Family solution service. This role provides professional and practical support to families where children may need to come into care as it is deemed unsafe at home. This will involve dealing with complex situations where risk is high. The role will undertake family group decision making meetings to identify potential extended family and friends' networks who may be able to support and care for the children. This is a new requirement for local authorities. The role will coordinate work and supervise Grade 9 and Grade 6 staff within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear management oversight and effective decision making to meet children’s needs in a timely way.
  • Lead performance management with clear strategies to ensure progress in all areas.
  • Challenge effectively and support the workforce to deliver excellent practice while prioritising competing demands.
  • Coordinate work activities in line with service priorities.
  • Develop effective partnership arrangements with appropriate stakeholders, always with the children and family’s needs at the heart.
  • Undertake family group decision making meetings to identify potential extended family and friends for support and care.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Social Work.
  • Full Social Work England registration.
  • Proven ability to work in partnership with children, young people, parents, carers, and partners.
  • Experience in a similar role or readiness to take the next step in a social work career.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of up to £50,512 per annum based on full time working — pro-rata for part time working; actual amount up to £25,256.
