Due to the creation of a new part time post to support the continued development of our legal work, we are looking for an exceptional individual like you to work with the Court Case Manager and also our Children’s Social Work Academy, who are making a daily difference to the lives of the people we serve.

This role is focused on the development and improvement of our pre- proceedings and court work, working with social workers, team managers, the court case manager, and our legal services.

If you are enthusiastic, motivated and are up for a new challenge, then we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a social worker or legal practitioner who has experience of public and private law and pre- proceedings work. You will be experienced in composing pre-proceedings letters/ agreements, reports for court and in giving evidence in court, including being cross examined.

You will assist in the development of excellent practice in the court arena, ensuring that we have timely court management for children and young people, improved outcomes for the children and young people we work with. You will work alongside colleagues to ensure we provide high quality social work practice, to ensure staff understand and engage with children social care values, vision and strategy.

You will have a professional social work and/ or legal qualification/ extensive experience (or equivalent)and provide practice and /or professional leadership, by supporting the development of research informed practice, delivering a performance and quality assurance function, supporting staff development and contributing to strategic development in the organisation. You will champion and direct staff to engage and implement Children Social Care values, vision and strategy to support children and young people.
