This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who is seeking a new challenge, to support our newly created Adult Social Care Academy. We are committed to investing in the recruitment, retention, and the development of our workforce and the infrastructure of an Adult Social Care Academy will lead, direct, and provide resources for early career frameworks and ensure continuous professional development is embedded.
You will lead and support the development of mentors, assessors and practice educators, directly supervising, supporting and coaching learners. A key element of the role is to ensure excellent learning and development opportunities and experiences for newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) completing their assessed and supported year in employment (ASYE), student social workers, and apprentices. You will also work collaboratively with other professional leads to support and develop learners across the wider ASC service.
It is essential that you have a current social work registration with Social Work England, hold Level 1 and 2 Practice Educator Standards Certification and have substantial post qualifying experience. In addition, you will have experience as a practice supervisor or assessor and a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
