The Finance Directorate is a key function managing the many challenges faced in Local Government Finance and supporting services to manage their financial resources to deliver the best services possible.
This senior position is the designated deputy for the S151 Officer and will lead the whole spectrum of financial functions including Financial Accounting, Revenues and Benefits, Financial Support Services, and Business Finance.
We are looking for a senior experienced finance leader looking for the next step in their career to develop and drive change in the Finance Service following recent implementation of a new ERP system. The role offers the opportunity to gain the relevant experience for those seeking progression to Finance Director / Section 151 Officer role.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record as a senior finance professional and leader and needs to demonstrate how they meet the criteria set out in the person specification and job description, with good examples in their application submission.
