Hull City Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Governance and Compliance Assistant to join a small team. We are looking for a highly motivated, conscientious and efficient individual who is customer focused and able to work to tight deadlines in a demanding environment.
You must have previous experience of working in an office/administration environment including processing requests for goods and services, following procurement procedures, resolving discrepancies as necessary, and preparing financial documents for payment, raising invoices and processing journals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate FOI requests
- Coordinate Incident Management Rota
- Assist with internal and external audit plans, and compliance checks
- Assist with ICT facilities management, including coordination of standard health and safety checks
- Maintain key infrastructure maintenance such as UPS and Air Conditioning Units
- Ensure building log books are updated
Essential Criteria / Qualifications
- Experience of working in an office/administration environment
- Experience processing requests for goods and services
- Familiarity with following procurement procedures, resolving discrepancies, and preparing financial documents for payment
- Experience raising invoices and processing journals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
The post is 18.5 hours, working days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with the number of hours worked each day to be agreed with the successful candidate.
