About the Role

As an Independent Reviewing Officer, you will:

  • Chair independent fostering reviews and statutory reviews for children in care
  • Ensure children’s care plans are robust, timely, and outcome-focused
  • Monitor local authority performance in relation to care planning and permanence
  • Ensure the child’s voice is central to decision-making
  • Provide independent challenge to promote best practice and accountability
  • Work closely with social workers, foster carers, and multi-agency partners

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
