Effective interpersonal, motivational and influencing skills are key, as the post holder will be expected to provide public health technical/specialist leadership and guidance to senior managers, and direct and support stakeholders within the wider multi-agency environment.The postholder will be strategically responsible for a broad public health portfolio working across all domains of Public Health and will be strategically responsible for the healthy places programmes area, which includes a broad health improvement and wider determinants portfolio, including healthy weight, tobacco control, sustainability, planning, sexual health and the health protection programme area.You must be able to demonstrate a high level of tact, diplomacy and advocate across organisational boundaries in order to effectively influence stakeholders, partners and Local Authority Members.
