Overview
Hull City Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our dedicated team as a Public Safety Control Room Supervisor. This is a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and wellbeing of our residents, visitors, and businesses. Based in our Public Safety Control Room, you will lead a team responsible for monitoring CCTV, alarm activations and response, key holding, coordinating responses to incidents, and supporting emergency services and council departments. You will play a key role in keeping Hull safe, providing reassurance to the public, and helping to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour across the city.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations within the Public Safety Control Room, ensuring staff deliver an effective 24/7 service.
- Oversee the monitoring of CCTV, alarm systems, key holding and other security technologies.
- Coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies, working closely with police, emergency services, and council teams.
- Lead, support, and develop a team of control room operators, ensuring high performance and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, including data protection and CCTV codes of practice.
- Maintain accurate records, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.
