Casual Night Care Assistants – SCP 3 - £12.85 per hour (plus 12.06% statutory holiday pay entitlement & 1/3 Night Rate Allowance).

This post involves being part of a team, working with children and young people with complex health needs and disabilities. You will be expected to work with the children during the night supporting with personal care needs, monitoring health needs and assisting to ensure children are safe and comfortable through the night. The post also involves some basic domestic and office duties.

Responsibilities
  • Work during the night to support with personal care needs and monitor health needs to ensure children are safe and comfortable.
  • Assist with basic domestic and office duties as required.
  • Follow policies and procedures and undertake necessary training and development opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Some care experience, preferably with children.
  • Ability to write up records and communicate well with colleagues and senior staff.
  • Willingness to follow policies and procedures and undertake training and development.
  • Flexibility to cover holidays, absence and training; ability to work at short notice when required.
  • Clear right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
Additional Information

Casual roles are to cover holidays, absence and training, and do not have a set working pattern or regular hours. The ability to be flexible as to when, and how many hours you are able to work is essential. Where possible, work is pre-arranged; there may be times when you will be asked to work at short notice. Various training courses are mandatory and will require attendance over several days, during weekdays.
