Homes provide both short and long-term care and support to Children and Young People who are unable to live within their own family home.
About the role
This role involves providing personal care, moving and handling, help with aspects of high level supervision and support. Working with Children with a Disability is very rewarding, can be challenging and offers high support and care to children with complex health needs and disabilities which are varied across our homes.
Qualifications
- A level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or the ability to complete this within two years of appointment
- Experience working with vulnerable adults or children in a safeguarding or care setting
- A strong motivation to work with Children and Young People and ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships
- An ability to work within relevant framework when assessing situations in order to make decisions and recommendations, Disability Confident

Pay and working hours
Two additional increments are payable for weekend working.
Hours per week will vary, totalling 148 per month full time and will include long shifts and sleep in shifts. Hours will exceed 20 hours per week due to the rota.
This is a Fixed Term post for up to 12 months to cover a Career Break
