Are you passionate about making a positive and lasting difference for Hull’s young people? Are you looking for a new challenge as a youth and community Development Worker, managing youth work across the east locality in Hull? If you are, it is time to look and apply to join our Service. This role will provide management, professional and practical support to the team and youth work delivering in the east of Hull.

This youth work role is important in driving forward Hull City Council’s commitment to achieving excellent outcomes for young people, building positive relationships and engaging with them through one to one and group work programmes and targeted youth work interventions. This work supports their personal and social development, reduces barriers, supports positive life choices and their learning and employability opportunities. An important part of the locality Early Help Offer.

You will have good knowledge and understanding of children’s safeguarding, making and sustaining partnerships, have sound management skills and as a senior lead practitioner, ensure the quality of the youth work delivery. You will also need to manage the day to day running of Andrew Marvell Youth Centre and ensure best value and use of resources, providing a safe and stimulating environment for young people and staff.

A variety of workplaces will ensure that you are able to develop the youth work in the locality and support the team to deliver a high quality service. Educated to JNC diploma/degree level and/or extensive experience in youth work delivery, leadership and management are required for this role.
