About Us
The Virtual School champions the education of children in care and previously looked-after children, ensuring they achieve their full potential. We work closely with schools, social workers, and carers to provide high-quality support and guidance.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced teacher to join our Virtual School team on an initial six month fixed term contract, working for three days per week. You will play a key role in improving educational outcomes for children in care by:
- Leading and quality-assuring Personal Education Plans (PEPs).
- Providing advice and guidance to schools, social workers, and carers on effective strategies to support learning.
- Monitoring progress and attainment, ensuring interventions are impactful.
- Delivering training and support to professionals involved in the education of looked-after children.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial classroom experience.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by looked-after children.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyse data and implement targeted interventions.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
