We are seeking a Head of Assets and Compliance to provide strategic leadership for our asset management, property compliance, planned investment and property services functions, ensuring our homes remain safe, sustainable and well maintained. Please click here to view the job description .

This rewarding role involves:

Strategic Asset Management

Leading the management and long-term investment of HCHA’s homes, using data, resident feedback and business priorities to ensure our properties remain safe, sustainable and fit for the future.

Compliance & Building Safety

Overseeing all aspects of landlord compliance, including gas, electrical, fire, water, asbestos, lift safety, damp and mould, and building safety, ensuring full regulatory compliance and robust assurance.

Planned Investment & Property Services

Delivering planned maintenance, major repairs and sustainability programmes, while driving service improvements and exploring the development of an in-house maintenance team.

Leadership & Resident Focus

Providing strategic leadership, managing key contracts and partnerships, and ensuring tenant safety, satisfaction and engagement are at the heart of service delivery.

About you

  • Significant experience in asset management, property services or maintenance within social housing or a similarly regulated environment.
  • A proven track record of leading compliance and health and safety functions, ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
  • Experience of managing planned maintenance programmes, capital investment projects and property improvement works from planning through to delivery.
  • Strong experience of managing contracts, procurement activities, budgets and external contractors to achieve high-quality services and value for money.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading teams, driving service improvements and implementing change, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
