Caistor Yarborough Academy is looking to recruit two enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant Apprentices to join its dedicated team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and want to gain valuable, hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting students on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, and within the classroom.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
  • Helping to promote students' educational, social and emotional development.
  • Building positive relationships with students, including those who may be disengaged from learning.
  • Encouraging students to participate confidently in lessons and school activities.
  • Providing additional support to students with special educational needs under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers.
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and helping to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Working closely with teaching staff and other colleagues to ensure students receive the best possible support.
  • Demonstrating the Academy's values and commitment to providing Excellence for All.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Hold GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
  • Have an interest in working with children and young people.
