An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated person to the role of Department Housekeeper/Hygienist within this busy Elective Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Surgical ward.

You will work alongside the nursing team and fellow housekeeper to ensure that high standards are maintained to deliver a quality service.

Please note that this vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa, and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

A significant aspect of the role is effective stock ordering and rotation, ensuring that equipment and facilities are maintained, as well as managing an effective cleaning and maintenance regime for the medical devices used within the department. Knowledge of working in a care environment would be an advantage but is not essential.

Academic qualifications are not essential, although you will be required to complete the National Care Certificate. You should possess excellent team working and communication skills (both written and verbal). IT skills would also be advantageous, as most stock ordering is done electronically.

The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community partnership arrangements in the NHS, serving over one million patients annually and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.

It comprises two Trusts: Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH). Our partnership is ambitious and committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.

We employ nearly 20,000 staff across five main hospital sites: Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital; Scunthorpe General Hospital; Goole and District Hospital; Hull Royal Infirmary; and Castle Hill Hospital.

As teaching hospitals working with Hull York Medical School, we lead and contribute to research in areas such as biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery, and oncology.

We believe that developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled, and caring workforce enables us to deliver excellent patient care and ensures a bright future for our employees, partnership, and community.
