Hull University Teaching Hospitals are seeking to recruit a band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy Rotation across the Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital sites. The post holder will work alongside multi‑disciplinary team colleagues to support the assessment and treatment of patients in a variety of clinical areas on our rotation.

  • Stroke and Neurology
  • Oncology

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct input into the assessment, treatment and reablement of patients presenting within acute care.
  • Deliver evidence‑based interventions to facilitate recovery, promote well‑being and optimise independent functioning.
  • Work self‑motivated and aspirational, assess effectively and timely in a rapid‑paced environment.
  • Enable patients in positive risk‑taking, personalised care, assessment of capacity, manual handling and functional assessments.
  • Apply knowledge of SAFER principles.

Professional Development:

Rotations across clinical areas occur approximately every six months to enable post‑holders to develop and consolidate clinical skills. Regular support and supervision are provided through a well‑established AHP preceptorship programme.

Requirements:

  • Current or pending professional registration (HCPC).
  • Holder of (or awaiting) a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Ideal for new graduates taking their first step into professional life.
