Job Overview

A vacancy for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Assistant with a bias for Mechanical work has arisen within the Estates Maintenance Department at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

The post is based at Castle Hill Hospital but may require assignment at any Trust property. The applicant must hold a full driving licence to undertake driving duties.

NOTE: This advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to carry out basic repairs and planned maintenance tasks throughout the Hospital and other premises.
• Participate on a partial shift system rota, providing sickness and annual leave cover for the various sections and store duties.
• Adhere to legislation and departmental standards, ensuring a safe, cost‑effective and efficient patient environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in maintenance activities, including Portable Electrical Appliance Testing and/or Steam Boiler operation and maintenance.
