This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority at a pivotal time, helping to shape how we communicate with residents, partners and stakeholders across the region. We are seeking a creative, organised and audience-focused Marketing Officer to join our Mayoral Office. Reporting to the Strategic Content and Digital Lead Officer, you will play a key role in delivering engaging marketing campaigns that promote the Mayor's priorities, programmes and achievements, helping to increase awareness, participation and public confidence in the work of the Combined Authority.

About the Role

As Marketing Officer, you will support the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across a range of digital, print and stakeholder channels. Working collaboratively with colleagues across communications, engagement, policy and corporate services, you will help ensure campaigns are creative, accessible, audience-focused and aligned with the Combined Authority's strategic priorities.

  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns promoting Mayoral priorities, programmes and events
  • Produce engaging marketing content for digital and traditional channels, including promotional materials, websites, newsletters and campaign copy
  • Coordinate promotional activity across multiple platforms to maximise audience reach and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver successful campaigns and events
  • Support public engagement activity, consultations and promotional events across the region
  • Ensure all marketing materials reflect the Combined Authority's brand and communications standards
  • Monitor campaign performance using analytics and audience insight, producing reports and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Help maintain marketing resources, campaign assets and promotional materials
  • Ensure marketing activity complies with accessibility requirements, data protection legislation and public sector communications guidance
About You

We are looking for a proactive and creative marketing professional with experience delivering campaigns that engage audiences and achieve measurable outcomes. You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively with colleagues and partners.

  • Experience working in marketing, communications, campaign delivery or public engagement
  • Experience supporting and delivering marketing campaigns across a variety of channels
  • Strong copywriting skills and experience creating engaging content for different audiences
  • Experience using marketing analytics or audience insight tools to measure campaign performance
  • A good understanding of branding principles and maintaining brand consistency
  • Experience working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and partners
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, campaign planning and audience engagement
