**Catering Assistant****Location:** Lyngford Park Primary School**Salary:** £12.71 per hour**Hours:** 20 hours per week, term time only**Working Pattern**: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–1:00pm**Contract:** Fixed Term – Maternity Cover**Purpose of the Role**To support the Catering Manager with the preparation and service of meals at Lyngford Park Primary School, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, cleanliness and pupil welfare.**Key Responsibilities**Prepare food in accordance with agreed menus and ingredients as directed by the Catering Manager.
Serve pupils, ensuring agreed portion controls are followed.
Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen and service area, including washing up and waste removal.
Follow all health and safety, food hygiene and company procedures.
Complete required records relating to allergens, temperatures, food preparation, transportation, cleaning and wastage.
Support the Catering Manager in maintaining appropriate stock levels and monitoring supplier quality.
Raise and assist with resolving any pupil, parent or carer issues, suggestions or complaints.
Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
Participate in professional development and the Company's Appraisal Scheme.
Work flexibly at other schools within Richard Huish Trust, including Richard Huish College, when required.**This is a Huish Education appointment based at Lyngford Park Primary School.
