Where youll be The role is based at our site in Dollingstown, Lurgan - approximately 30 minutes from Belfast.
What youll be doing Reporting to the Stock Prep Co-ordinator, the Yard Operative will: Break bales and mix loose paper in order to ensuring adequate supply of loose paper for grey & white pulpers Mixing and sorting of paper in main yard, including removal of rejects Carry out quality checks on paper loads as they enter the factory, ensuring that quality standards are met Successfully rotate stocks operating a first in first out policy, in order to preserve the quality of raw materials Unload lorries (raw materials, chemicals etc) in a safe & efficient manner ensuring the smooth flow of traffic throughout the yard area Maintain the yard as a safe working environment, ensuring the cleanliness of grey & white belts and surrounding areas Carry out stock takes as required, ensuring accurate records are kept and suitably reported Provide break and absence cover for the pulper operator Support the pulper operator with blockages & loading of belts Ensure machinery is maintained to an acceptable standard at all times e.g. washing, greasing etc What youll bring to the role Good standard of education educated to GCSE level Previous experience operating and maintaining forklift trucks with & without clamp attachment Current Forklift License Whilst not essential it would be advantageous to have a Loader License Please note working hours 12 hour continental shifts 0700-1900 and 1900-0700 Please note that only candidates who clearly demonstrate how they meet the essential criteria within their application will be considered for shortlisting.
