We’re currently looking for a Trade qualified Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter at Huhtamaki in Preston, Victoria with experience working in fast paced manufacturing environment. You should be able to cover some after-hour shifts as and when required.
Ideal candidate:- Holds a current Mechanical trade certification – Fitter and Turner/Machinist.
- Strong troubleshooting and repairing skills.
- Experience maintaining production line and processing equipment like pumps, conveyors, etc.
- Comfortable working in fast paced environment.
- Basic TIG/MIG welding and machining experience required.
- Reliable, hands-on and team oriented.
- Preventive maintenance and checks as per the work orders.
- Overhauls of various site equipment like pumps, agitators, conveyors, mechanical filters, printers and label applicators.
- Breakdown maintenance – identify issues and repair as necessary.
- Assist with machine setup, adjustments and changeover.
- Preparation work in workshop for the next PM, overhaul and changeover.
- Solid hands-on fitting skills.
- Strong commitment to safety.
