The Job
Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, the successful candidate will:
- Ensure required supply of Shop Packets for Production operations, in line with the Finite Schedule.
- A large part of the role is manually making new printing plates to replace those that are damaged or where print quality has been compromised.
- Update the PSF system (Paperless Shop Floor) to enable effective tracking of printing files.
- Provide cover for Dispatch Cell Leaders, Production Planning Coordinator and Production Planning Assistant, as required and per business needs.
- Liaise with Reprographics and Sales Support on new artworks, creating new plates as required.
- Carry out stock take duties, entering adjustment information into the Epicor System.
Essential Criteria
- Have previous experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Are educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Are computer literate with previous experience of an ERP system (preferable Epicor) and confidence using MS packages, particularly Excel.
Desirable Criteria
- Counterbalance Forklift License.
- Previous experience working in a quality role/department.
- Previous experience of stock taking & raising Purchase Order Requisition.
- Reprographics experience.
- MRP experience.
- Previous experience of using Finite Scheduling software.
- Previous supervisory experience.
