Where you’ll be Due to the business facing nature of this role, the HR Specialist will be based at our Gosport site 4-5 days per week.
What you’ll be doing Effectively managing the recruitment of staff up to management level within the UK business.
Acting as liaison with external agencies and bodies; ensuring internal compliance, performance and cost criteria are met.
Supporting and directing Managers in the delivery of Performance Management and Capability procedures.
Advising on legislation, policy, risk and best practice.
Supporting and directing Managers in the delivery of disciplinary and attendance management processes, advising and acting as liaison with Occupational Health service providers.
Develop, implement and review employment policies, incorporating changes in legislation, business need and best practice within the Gosport Employee Handbook.
Effective compilation and management of key HR metrics – including; attendance, retention, skills management and talent development.
Providing meaningful information to stakeholders and resolve questions arising.
Development of effective training materials associated with local policies or initiatives as and when directed.
Competent delivery of training materials to Managers and staff and requisite coaching, where appropriate.
Act as key contact in the development and improvement of company HR administration processes; including Pensions, Private Health Insurance, company car administration etc.
Ensure that all key personal data associated with employees is accurate, secure and integrated with other local processes such as Payroll.
