Material Controller in Gosport

Are you an organised and proactive individual with experience in inventory control, logistics, or warehouse operations? We are looking for a Material Control to play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations across both Holbrook and Grange sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the supply of raw materials to support paper production in line with production plans.
• Monitor and control inventory using Snap/BPCS and other warehouse management systems.
• Maintain accurate stock records through regular stock checks and inventory reconciliation.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and material variances.
• Support production planning by preparing shop orders, labels, and production documentation.
• Coordinate inbound deliveries and ensure goods are received, checked, and stored correctly.
• Manage stock levels of key materials, packaging, pallets, labels, and consumables.
• Lead and support team members, ensuring adequate coverage during holidays and absence.
• Deliver training on warehouse systems, automation processes, and work instructions.
• Support month-end inventory processes and variance investigations with relevant departments.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and housekeeping.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Good problem‑solving abilities and the confidence to make decisions.
• Experience working with stock control or warehouse management systems.
• Good numerical and administrative skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• A flexible approach and willingness to support operational requirements when needed.
