Trainee Property Manager – Shrewsbury The Opportunity: An excellent opportunity to start a career within Residential and Block Property Management, joining a well-established national property consultancy based from their Shrewsbury office. No previous property management experience is required. This is a genuine trainee position where you’ll receive full training, ongoing support and the opportunity to gain recognised professional qualifications while developing into a Property Manager. You’ll work alongside an experienced team and gradually take responsibility for a varied portfolio of residential developments across Shropshire, including RMCs, freeholder clients and some PRS developments. What You’ll Learn: With full training and support, you’ll develop experience across all areas of residential property management, including: * Carrying out property inspections and producing reports * Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance * Working with and managing contractors * Assisting with service charge budgets and client accounts * Supporting building and Directors & Officers insurance matters * Attending AGMs, EGMs, Directors' and residents' meetings * Communicating with leaseholders, freeholders and clients * Understanding leases and dealing with potential breaches * Supporting property sales and assignments of leases * Handling correspondence, administration and customer enquiries * Learning relevant property legislation, compliance and industry best practice * As your knowledge and confidence develop, you’ll take increasing responsibility for your own portfolio. What We’re Looking For: You do not need previous property management experience. This opportunity could suit someone from a customer service, administration, lettings, estate agency, housing or property-related background, as well as someone looking to start a completely new career within the property industry. You’ll ideally be: * A confident communicator with good people skills * Organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities * Customer-focused and professional * Keen to learn and develop a long-term career within property * Comfortable travelling to developments across the local area * IT literate and confident learning new systems * A full UK driving licence holder Salary, Training & Progression The starting package is £27,500 basic salary + £3,600 car allowance. Full training will be provided, alongside support towards relevant professional qualifications such as TPI. Once qualified, salary is be reviewed.
