We’re looking for an organised and proactive Scheme Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a building complex in Stafford. The building is a over 55s retirement scheme. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and making a real difference to people’s lives.
The Role: As Scheme Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth operation of the scheme, supporting residents with their wellbeing, safety and housing needs while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. You’ll act as a key point of contact for residents, contractors, support services, and families, helping customers maintain independence and access the support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing tenancy-related matters and scheme administration
- Reporting and coordinating maintenance and repairs
- Ensuring health & safety, fire safety and security procedures are followed
- Responding appropriately to emergencies and alarm calls
- Encouraging community engagement and social activities within the scheme
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Supervising cleaners/contractors where applicable
About You: We’re looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and people skills
- Is empathetic, calm and professional, particularly in challenging situations
- Can work independently and manage a varied workload
- Has strong organisational and administrative skills
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and resident wellbeing
- Is confident liaising with contractors, support agencies, and stakeholders
- Has experience within housing, property management, or facilities management (desirable)
