As part of the senior team of a new division, this role will support the setup and management of inbound goods to the UK direct from supplier, customs/duties handling, and domestic transport. The role will require a close relationship with country management as well as HQ in Germany.

What you can expect:

The Head of Transport and Customs will be responsible for strategic management and planning for transportation and customs activities including but not limited to:

Strategic

• Managing all freight budgeting
• Relationship management of supplier/factory/Broker
• Coordinating inbound goods and transport
• Managing contracts
• Steering, managing and rolling out future-related projects

Inbound shipments

• Planning and coordinating with suppliers
• Modes of transports
• Coordination of transport
• Relationship management with freight forwarder
• SLA/KPI management
• Future transport tenders

Customs/Duties

• Customs regulation and compliance
• Broker relationship management

Domestic/last mile transport

• Planning and coordination with retail
• Coordination of transport
• Relationship management with freight forwarder
• SLA/KPI management
• Tenders

Your profile:

• Strong collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders
• Proven record of driving projects
• Experience in a management position in a Senior Transportation and/or Customs role within a freight forwarding or logistics environment
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
