Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the safe and successful execution of their projects across the UK. About the Role

  • Location: Mobile across the UK (with potential for occasional overseas travel)
  • Reports to: Projects Director
  • Key Purpose: Oversee the full lifecycle of assigned installation projects, from initial planning and client meetings to system commissioning and closure. Ensure alignment with Clients Project Management Methodology while meeting customer expectations and contractual obligations.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop detailed project schedules, briefs, and documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and resource plans.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to safeguard time, quality, and costs.
  • Manage resource allocation, ensuring materials, tools, labor, and amenities are sourced efficiently and on time.
  • Lead project delivery from initiation to closure, handling variations and securing client agreements for additional work.
  • Maintain accurate records for reporting on status, costs, margins, risks, and resources.
  • Supervise installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring competency, safety briefings (e.g., RAMS, Toolbox Talks), and professional standards.
  • Oversee budget planning, monitoring, and re-forecasting.
  • Prioritize health, safety, welfare, and environmental compliance through regular site audits.
  • Handle quality records in line with client and Fireworks’ management systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in construction project management, including planning, resource management, financial budgeting, communication, delegation, and motivation.
  • Relevant qualifications: CSCS Manager level card required; CDM, SMSTS, MAPM desired.
  • Strong decision-making skills impacting finances, reputation, priorities, variations, suppliers, and health & safety.
  • Ability to handle change management and resolve complex daily problems.
  • Excellent communication for negotiating with clients, contractors, and internal staff (including overcoming language barriers).
  • Willingness to work anti-social hours, travel frequently (including overnight stays), and hold a valid driving license.
