Week 1:Monday- Friday / Week 2:Monday Friday / Week 3:3 week days / , Saturday Sunday / 0700 β 1700 Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: Competitive, DOE Reports to: Maintenance Manager Location: Dungannon The Role As anElectrical Engineer, you will provide day-to-day electrical maintenance across all machinery, services, and facilities within our operations. You will play a key role in ensuring production uptime is maintained and maximised by delivering prompt fault diagnosis, effective repairs, and proactive engineering solutions. This role supports manufacturing operations through technical expertise, electrical project work, continuous improvement initiatives, and strict adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Provide electrical maintenance cover to production operations, diagnosing and resolving breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime. Safely dismantle and reassemble machinery to carry out inspections, repairs, and fault finding. Respond rapidly to equipment failures to restore operational capability efficiently. Accurately log, update, and close all planned maintenance activities within the maintenance management system. Record and manage all reactive maintenance tasks using the Maintenance Request Database, ensuring clear documentation and timely completion. Undertake electrical project work from installation through to commissioning, delivering in line with agreed plans and specifications. Identify opportunities for system enhancements and contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives. Provide technical expertise and support within the engineering team and across operational departments. Liaise effectively with external contractors to ensure safe working practices and optimal technical solutions. Conduct effective shift handovers to Team Leaders and Management to maintain clear communication and operational continuity. Adhere to all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures. Conduct daily risk assessments across workstations, machinery, and production areas, reporting maintenance requirements in line with safety regulations. Support and comply with Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe isolation of equipment. Carry out PAT testing in accordance with Fire Safety Regulations (N.I.) and Health & Safety legislation, reporting any issues to line management. Record weekly energy readings and report variances or concerns to management. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to support operational transparency and performance tracking. Essential Criteria Degree in a relevant disciplineor proven experience in a similar FMCG role. Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience gained within a manufacturing environment. Experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Experience in fault diagnosis and control systems diagnostics. Previous experience performing electrical/electronic testing (LV and/or HV systems). Strong attention to detail. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults under pressure. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong safety mindset. Strong problem-solving approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
